Connections365 is deeply saddened to share the passing of our Executive Director, Debby Lute, whose leadership, integrity, and compassion shaped our organization in profound and lasting ways. Debby was not only an esteemed colleague statewide—she was the heart of Connections365.
Debby’s impact reached far beyond our walls. As a respected leader within the Oregon Alliance and throughout Oregon’s human services and juvenile justice communities, she worked tirelessly to champion young people, strengthen systems of care, and uplift the providers who serve them. Her wisdom and warmth were felt in every room she entered. But her greatest legacy lives here, in the lives of the youth and families served by Connections365.
A Visionary Leader Who Transformed Our Organization
When Debby accepted the role of Executive Director in 2013, Connections365 was an organization in need of renewal. Debby stepped into that challenge with courage, clarity, and a deep belief in what this agency could become. Under her leadership, she guided a full organizational transformation—revitalizing programs, elevating administrative and clinical standards, strengthening governance, and rebuilding the trust of the community and state partners. She stabilized our financial foundation, restored confidence in our mission, and ensured that our contracts, licensing, and reputation were not only preserved but strengthened. Because of Debby, Connections365 stands today as a stable, respected, and mission-driven agency capable of meeting the complex needs of the youth we serve. Her work was never about recognition. It was about young people—those who were overlooked, underserved, or navigating the most difficult chapters of their lives. She showed up for them every single day.

Debby Lute Memorial Fund
This fund will honor her life by continuing the work she cared for most: serving Oregon’s youth with dignity, compassion, and unwavering commitment.
Gifts to the Memorial Fund will directly support:
- Residential and community programs that provide safety and stability
- Mental health and behavioral support services
- Educational, recreational, and enrichment opportunities for youth
- Organizational needs that ensure we can continue offering the highest standard of care
- Emerging needs and critical gaps that Debby faithfully worked to address
