Many of us have heard the seemingly dire facts concerning youth in foster care–how they will be bounced around from home to home, how so many of them will age out of the system without a permanent family, and how the correctional system is filled with former foster youth. It can feel overwhelming, and although many of us would like to help out, we don’t know where to begin.
Our Bridge the Gap breakfast event, happening on April 14, will provide an opportunity to learn about ways in which you can help foster youth in the Salem area and throughout Oregon. This year Salem Evangelical has graciously offered to host our event. Connections365 staff will provide vital information about the agency’s work with Oregon’s neediest youth, and attendees will hear about how to be a part of it. However, we think our efforts would go even farther with the help of our community.
Would you join us for breakfast? RSVP today to secure your place at the table. If you or your company is interested in being our official event sponsor, you can find more information here or complete our event sponsor form. Thank you for your help in connecting youth and families to the resources they need!
