Many of us have heard the seemingly dire facts concerning youth in foster care–how they will be bounced around from home to home, how so many of them will age out of the system without a permanent family, and how the correctional system is filled with former foster youth. It can feel overwhelming, and although many of us would like to help out, we don’t know where to begin.
CCPC’s Bridge the Gap breakfast event, happening on May 14, will provide an opportunity to learn about ways in which you can help foster youth in the Salem area and throughout Oregon. CCPC staff will provide vital information about the agency’s work with Oregon’s neediest youth, and attendees will hear about how to be a part of it.
The event will be from 8:00-9:30 AM, at the NW Wine Studies Center. The event will feature a breakfast buffet, door prizes, guest speakers, and more. You can register to attend by clicking here.
