November 8, 2015 was recognized by the Christian Alliance for Orphans as Orphan Sunday, a day recognized annually in which churches across the world are asked to consider how they can help those who are fatherless. Many churches today are finding a growing number of their members involved in foster care, adoption, and other forms of orphan care.
This year CCPC was invited to join Bethany Baptist Church of Salem on Orphan Sunday. Executive Director Debby Lute shared with the congregation about the opportunities available through CCPC to provide therapeutic foster care and mentoring to youth in the community, many of whom are in desperate need of stable homes, good role models, and loving encouragement.
If you would like to have CCPC share with your church or other community group, please contact us and we would love to make it happen.
